Sat, 26 Apr 2008 17:50:11 PDT
Landed in the land of HUMIDITY last night at 10pm. I barely ate anything yesterday trying to keep up my diet. Drove to Birmingham today and checked out the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute along with the 16th street Church (4 little girls were killed in the racist bombing of 1963). I have to say that walking through that museum; I got choked up a number of times. It’s always amazing how cruel we can be… If you’ve seen it a million times or watched documentaries - or shit - watch the news it n

Hrm

Hrm Just finished I Am Legend, which started out well enough for what it is, but then deviated so wildly from the novel that it just sort of petered out in a predictable scene complete with voiceover and everything. I suppose it didn’t help that I’d heard a radio play of it on The 7th Dimension during the winter. In other news, I have not posted a list of Things I Have To Do Before The Semester Is Over. Here’s why: since last week, I’ve been grading furiously and have actually gotten through

"We strategically know how to stop the city so people stand still and realize that you do not have the right to shoot down unarmed, innocent civilians," Sharpton told an overflow crowd of several hundred people at his Nationa
